A Full Day of Eats

Hi guys! I hope everyone had a fun and safe holiday weekend and you enjoyed some delicious treats! I know I sure did. My brother had us over for a cookout & fireworks at his place and man, was there a ton of  (fairly healthy) food! Then, we headed up to Lake Gaston for a little getaway. After a couple of nice days off it has been a little tough adjusting back into a workout and diet routine, but I think its going well so far!

Lets take a look at what I've been eating...

Today was a fairly normal day of what I am trying to continue to eat for my diet including 3 full meals with 2 small snacks in between. Although, normally, I do not eat between lunch and dinner which I am trying to change to prevent unnecessary nibbling.

I woke up bright and early to head to the gym. I needed some substance in my tum before my workout so I had a spoonful of crunchy peanut butter and off I went.
L-R clockwise: Salad, Quesadilla, Hummus, Watermelon, BBQ

After my workout and getting ready for work I made my breakfast. Today I enjoyed a breakfast quesadilla with 1 scrambled egg, shredded cheddar cheese and a tortilla. I also had a string cheese which I really didn't need to eat and should have saved for a snack later.

My lunch break at work is typically no earlier than 1:00 so I try and eat some sort of fruit between my 8:00 breakfast and 1:30 lunch. Today I had some watermelon.

Last night while I was at Trader Joe's I spotted a salad with bbq chicken. I picked it up and had it for a quick lunch.

Mid-afternoon I munched on some carrot sticks and cilantro jalapeno hummus. By the way that hummus is from Trader Joe's and is ah-mazingg!!!

For dinner my brother brought over some bbq he made and to go with it we put together a veggie salad which included tomato, cucumber, basil, mozzarella cheese, balsamic vinegar and olive oil. The pictures I snapped are the leftovers I have for lunch tomorrow!

Now, just finishing off the night with a small handful of popcorn in bed. Goodnight, friends!

What did you eat today?
