Check-Up

Summer has officially started which also means that the first half of the year has already flown by. I know, I can't believe it either.

Back in February I made a few goals for the new year and considering it is July, I think it's time for a check in to see how I am doing and what I need to start doing.

Here is a list of what I wanted to accomplish this year...
  • Continue on my weight loss journey. I hope to get down to my goal weight by the end of the year. I am currently working on changing my lifestyle to include more health foods and fitness.
  • Try new things. While on my weight loss journey through health and fitness I hope to try new (fitness) activities that I have never done before like crossfit.
  • Meet new people. I no longer talk with many of the people I hung out with while in school, so I would like to try and meet new people through fitness and trying new things.
  • Save, save, save! I am hoping to buy a house in my near future, so saving is a top priority.

  • So how has it been going?

I have been doing well on my weight loss journey. This is obviously something that is going to be continued for a while and even when I get to my goal weight to be able to maintain. I'll need to keep this up and I am going to try and start taking/blogging more pictures of my food and daily eats to keep myself accountable. Trying new things is needing some work. Aside from trying crossfit I haven't really tried anything else new. I'll get on this! Meeting new people has been a major fail. I have not tried or succeeded at meeting any new friends which can correlate with my trying new things needing some work. Quite frankly I don't know where to start with that one! Onto some good news...saving has been going great! That is a plus.

I would also like to add traveling more onto my 2013 goals list.

Obviously, I have my work for my goals cut out for me for the next 6 months.

What goals have you completed/need work on so far in 2013?
Any new ones you want to add?

Updated: I was reviewing my previous posts and realized my try new things goal is going a little better than I initially thought...

    I ran a 5k obstacle course.
I visited Las Vegas for the first time.
I visited an all inclusive resort in the mountains.

Don't worry, I am still wanting to add to my trying new things list considering those can fall under my newest goal to travel more, too!
